Wise Up Winnipeg shuts down construction zone CamsAfter a successful information meeting on Saturday the 10th, we gave out lots of signs and met a lot of really great people who have had enough of this corrupt system. On the way home I was traveling through a small construction zone and what I saw was in-excusable. The radar van was parked approximately 100 meters before the 'Construction Ends' signs and about 15-20 meters from the end of the construction barricades. I really couldn't believe that they would set up shooting a vehicle as it is leaving the zone approaching a higher speed zone. I took video of the set up and then put signs out and slowed the traffic right down. Take a look at the video below to see what I mean. The following two mornings at the construction zones, people that had been to our rally, were out in the chilly weather with their signs up and keeping the revenue where it belongs.....in your pocket and Your Local Economy. Not in the hands of a foreign owned company that siphons it out of here leaving the City and Province with the scraps! I want to personally send kudos out to those who showed up to the construction zones on both days. One fellow told Todd Dube from Wise Up Winnipeg that at Inkster the motorists were honking and giving him the thumbs up. They also told him what a great job he was doing and had 4 coffees dropped off to him. Traffic was slowed to a snails pace and angry motorists blasted the mobile radar operator with comments about how they felt about him setting up approximately 100 meters from the end of the Construction Zone. After an hour and a half the van gave up and left! At McGillivary Two women who were passing by stopped and spent the next 4 HOURS helping to display the signs. See the photo below. Click on it for a larger image.  The only way to stop Photo Enforcement is to continue to bring out the truth and prevent it from making money. And the van is set up right at the END of the construction zone, with no works, and no real hazards. Typical Winnipeg. Great job with the warning signs." Oct. 20/David (Wpg) "I was just there this morning... I work just past the construction down Inksbrook so I travel this every day. Both lanes are now open after Inkster, yet there STILL was a photo enforcement vehicle there this morning! What is the purpose of that? All the barricades are down on the other side of Inkster (its still one lane before Inkster), yet because the 'Construction Ends sign was not moved back, this gives them the right to ticket people for not driving 60 when there is obviously no reason to?! No, I didn't get a ticket... I'm just upset about this obvious cash grab! Nov. 1 Allan (Wpg.)"I received two tickets in the Route 90 zone. No workers present on Sunday, and well past the workers on Monday. Police tactics remind me of the law enforcement on the "Dukes of Hazard" tv show. Mayor Hogg and his sheriff"
